Laura Burhenn Photo Shoot- Part I

I was asked recently by my cousin (in-law), Laura Burhenn (The Mynabirds) to collaborate on a photo shoot with Pandahead Magazine for their upcoming fall issue (and to promote Laura’s upcoming album). The concept behind the shoot was to capture a woman (I’d say from the 1940′s or 50′s) basically shattered from her husband leaving her at the altar, or alternatively a woman attending a funeral.

We went through a lot of prep for the shoot, and Laura looked flipping amazing. The team did such a good job with hair, makeup, and even compiling leaves for bouquets! When it came time to photograph, Laura did a fantastic job channeling that kind of character, which I know is typically out of character for her, as she’s an incredibly upbeat and positive individual!

This is part one of the shoot, which primarily focuses on the character I’ve mentioned above. Part two will follow shortly, which has some different photos of Laura from the latter part of the shoot. None of these photos have been officially chosen for the magazine as of yet, they’re just some of my favorites from the experience.

Many thanks to all who helped along the way to make the event a success! Enjoy!

Love,

Lisa
