Libby and Matt's Top of the Town Wedding

Last weekend I was fortunate enough to photograph Libby and Matt's wedding at Top of the Town in Arlington, VA! I met Libby and Matt almost a year ago, and shot their super cute engagement photos back in October in Old Town, Alexandria. It was great to see them again and finally get to shoot their wedding! Top of the Town is a venue located about a block away from the Iwo Jima Memorial in Rosslyn, and it's in such a great location! We were able to walk down to Iwo Jima for some shots (in the field close by, the memorial itself had lots of swarming tourists!), and we had a great view of the Washington Monument...and you could even see a bit of the Lincoln Memorial and Capital! Once you go to the top of the actual building which is Top of the Town, it's an even more dramatic view of Washington, DC! Mix all of that with a beautiful sunny day, and we got some killer shots! Libby and Matt, thanks for letting me be part of your special day! Hope everyone enjoys the photos!

Thanks for looking!

Libby and Matt's Old Town Alexandria Engagement Session!

I've been waiting for a while for a couple who would embrace some rain, and I finally met my match with Libby & Matt!  I met them both down in Old Town, Alexandria this past weekend, with my awesome new assistant, Mr. Mike Boggs.  Libby & Matt came complete with wellies and an umbrella (as did Mike and I), and we braced ourselves for what could have been some major rain.  Luckily, the heavy rain and storms didn't come through until after noon that day, so we just got some cloudy skies, with a lot of puddles!  As you'll see below, Libby and Matt were an amazing pair to work with, and totally embraced the atmosphere we were in.  Engaged couple + rain + wellies = magical.  Hope you enjoy! l&m_oldtown_engagement_1

Thanks for looking!  And many thanks to Mike Boggs for second shooting and taking some killer shots!

P.S.  Stay tuned for some non-welly photos of Libby & Matt, and more engagements from the weekend!
