Aubrey and Alex's Howard County Conservancy Wedding!

I was so excited when I booked Aubrey and Alex, not only because they are a really cool couple from Baltimore (who also own a really cool dog named Athena), but because they were having their wedding at Howard County Conservancy!  I've always wanted to photograph at this location!  Between the rolling hills of tall grass, the old barns, and the awesome garden areas, it's really quite an outdoor photographers dream! The day started off really hot, so I knew I'd have to keep Aubrey and Alex as cool as possible!  The ceremony was outside in a pretty tree-covered area, so that at least alleviated some of the heat and kept the bright sun off of their faces!  Aubrey and Alex looked so amazing and in love during their ceremony.  Aubrey even cried a little bit during their vows and I got a little choked up!  They're just so cute!  After the ceremony I took the wedding party to the inside of a nearby barn so they could get their inner-model on, and then finished up with some portraits of Aubrey and Alex.  Later on in the evening I took the newlyweds back outside for some portraits in the field which I really loved!  We were this close to having a storm in the background of their photos, but alas, the clouds dissipated and went away (and, lets be honest, probably not best to be in the middle of a field during a storm, yes?  Yes!).

Brandy and Michael's Westport, Connecticut Wedding!

I can't believe Brandy and Michael's wedding is actually over!  I feel like it was just yesterday that I was sitting down with the two of them to discuss what they wanted out of their wedding photos (over gluten-free snacks, of course, because Brandy and I share the same sensitivity!).  It was in the fall that I took their engagement photos at Sunset Hills Vineyard, and now their summer DIY wedding in Connecticut is all over!  But the good news is...there are photos!  ;) When I met with Brandy she stressed to me that she absolutely loved the little details involved with weddings.  So when I arrived at their wedding site I knew I would see her amazing DIY details everywhere!  She made signs for almost everything, from the directional signs of where their wedding was, to the table assignments, to the little place cards on the tables.  The colors were so tasteful and natural, with lots of punchy greens accompanied by lovely muted creams and browns.  Brandy isn't a fan of colorful floral arrangements, so she went with potted herbs on the dining tables, with little sprigs of rosemary tucked in to everyones menus!  She even bypassed flowers to hold during the wedding and opted for gorgeous clutches for she and her bridesmaids.  Not to mention she purchased an amazing boutonniere for Michael made of burlap, feathers and twine!  Swoon!

Brandy and Michael are the epitome of amazing clients.  They were an absolute joy to work with and photograph, and I hope this isn't the last time I see them!  :)  Thanks so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day, and enjoy the photos!

Lindsey and Daniel's Ceresville Mansion Wedding - Part Two!

If you missed Lindsey and Daniel's getting ready and ceremony photos from part one, go here!  However, if you're ready for some amazing reception photos full of a lot of laughter and fun, keep reading! As you may remember, Lindsey and Daniel had their entire wedding at Ceresville Mansion, so after the ceremony we headed indoors for dinner, dancing and festivities!  DJ Angie D kept us on track with everything, and really kept everyone engaged in the nights events.  DJ Angie D also came out on the dance floor to show guests moves to the songs if they didn't already know them, which was awesome!

I really love all the shots of the dancing from the evening.  It's hard to narrow down favorites, but I do love the portraits I was able to take of Lindsey and Daniel throughout the night, when we could catch a bit of a break!  The first few photos I thought were very Mad Men like, and if you know me well, you know I love Mad Men!  Lindsey and Daniel couldn't take a bad photo in my mind.  They were the perfect couple to work with!

Many thanks to Lindsey and Daniel for choosing me to be part of their special day!  Thanks to my assistant for the day, Asha, for all the help and encouragement...and also many thanks to family and friends I got to see at the wedding (some new, some old!)...you know who you are and you made the night even better!  :)

Lindsey and Daniel's Cereseville Mansion Wedding - Part One!

I'm back to feature part one of Lindsey and Daniel's gorgeous Ceresville Mansion wedding!  If you missed their sneak peek from last week, take a look here! Ceresville Mansion was an amazing backdrop for what Lindsey and Daniel had in mind for their big day.  As you can see from the photos below, they went with a red/green/white theme, combined with a lot of natural elements like trees for their table decorations.  And the outdoor ceremony itself fit right in with that really natural, yet sophisticated look they were going for!  Lindsey looked absolutely stunning in her gown, and I particularly loved her purple heels she chose as her wedding shoes!  Combine her with Daniel in his dashing Army uniform, and you have one gorgeous bride and groom!

The setting was just stunning, and it was really hard to narrow down photos!  They are all beautiful, and everyone was so easy to work with to get the photos done quickly!  I do love the hilarious shots of the bridal and groomsmen parties though...particularly the one of the groomsmen watching some sporting event on a mobile device.  It's good to know that a wedding can't distract them from what's really important...a game!  Ha ha ha!  Enjoy the photos below, and stay tuned for their reception photos in part two!

Lindsey and Daniel's Cereseville Mansion Wedding - Sneak Peek!

It was an amazing weekend, and mostly because I got to photograph this incredible couple!  You may remember Lindsey and Daniel from their DC engagement session back in the summer.  Well, they're back on the blog, and this time they tied the knot in Frederick, Maryland at the incredible Ceresville Mansion!  This photograph in particular is my absolute favorite from the evening, so I had to share it straight away.  Although I love most of the photos I've seen from their wedding, this one just knocked my socks off (literally...where'd they go?  Who knows!).  Enjoy this sneak peek, and stay tuned for more shots from their beautiful wedding!
