Nicole and Michael's Springtime DC Inspired Wedding - Published in Washingtonian Bride & Groom

I don't know where to begin with Nicole and Michael! I met this amazing couple a few years ago at a mutual friends house and was immediately smitten with them. They are the nicest, most genuine people you'll ever meet. So when I found out Nicole and Michael were finally engaged...I pounced! Aside from being the most delightful gal ever, Nicole has incredibly good taste, and I knew her wedding would be nothing short of stunning and full of personality. Luckily, Nicole felt just as strongly about working with me as I did with her, so we made it happen! Hooray!

Nicole and Michael are sportscasters, which was something I learned early on in our friendship. In fact, Nicole and Michael met while working together and even co-anchored a Christmas Eve show the night they had their first date in DC. The rest is history! It's also no surprise their wedding would be very DC inspired, modern, dynamic and colorful: just like the two of them!

The wedding day was, in a word, magical. Nicole had everything planned out perfectly. I already knew about the various shades of pink she was incorporating throughout the day (especially in a stunning flower wall), not to mention little details like newspaper wedding programs, Washington Monument escort card/pencil sharpeners and special treats like Duck Donuts and a grooms Old Fashioned Bar. But one of my favorite elements was that Nicole and Michael included their dog, Josie, as the flower girl in their wedding. If you know Nicole and Michael well, you know how much Josie dog means to them, and I was so excited to photograph that little pup throughout the day!

Aside from how visually beautiful this wedding was, it was honestly one of the most genuine, heartfelt and loving weddings I've ever attended. Each and every guest that attended meant the world to Nicole and Michael and it really showed. Everyone laughed, cried, danced, rapped (yes, that happened) and even participated in a giant group hug during the last song of the night, Purple Rain. It was beyond epic and I feel truly honored to have photographed this wedding.

Nicole and Michael, thank you guys for including me in your special day. I loved every second of working with you and I feel so lucky to call you my friends! I hope you love your photos as much as I do and enjoy them all for years to come.
